What Is The Blade Of Avernus In BG3?

Wyll announced the title Blade of Avernus with his father’s blessing to fight against the devil and monster in Avernus.

He was a famous hero who fought against the goblin hordes that invaded his homeland but was arrogant and reckless.

Additionally, he sought greater glory and power and agreed to serve Mizora in exchange for her aid.

However, he soon realized he had made a terrible mistake, as Mizora demanded that he slaughter innocent people and betray his friends.

Wyll refused to obey her, and Mizora punished him by taking away his sight and sending him to Avernus, where demons tortured him.

With the help of a mysterious woman named Karlach, Wyll escaped from hell. Karlach had an infernal engine implanted in her chest.

They joined forces with rebels who opposed Mizora’s tyranny and eventually returned to the material plane.

However, Wyll’s pact with Mizora was still intact, and he had to find a way to break it before she could claim his soul.

He will lose his free will and his humanity and become a tool of evil. Depending on your choices, he will also lose Karlach, who will die or turn against him.
