What Is The Heavensturn Event In FFXIV?
The Heavensturn event is an annual event that occurs around the New Year in FFXIV.
It is based on the Japanese tradition of celebrating the zodiac animal of the year, which changes every 12 years.
This year, the zodiac animal is the dragon, hence the dragon-themed decorations and costumes.
The event involves helping the Far Eastern delegates spread the festive spirit in Eorzea by wearing dragon masks.
Along the way, you will also learn about the legend of the dragon and the Chocobo, and how they became friends.
The event also introduces the concept of omikuji, which are paper strips with fortunes written on them.
You can draw one omikuji for 100 gil each time from the Far Eastern Omikujishi, and see what the New Year has in for you.
How To Complete Heavensturn Event In FFXIV?
To start the Heavensturn event, players need to be at least level 15 and go to the upper decks of Limsa Lominsa.
The event starts with talking to Ryu Metsuke at (X:11.5, Y:13.9) in Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks.
He will give you the quest “To Be a Mascot”, which requires you to speak to Ryu Bugyo at (X:11.5, Y:13.3).
Similarly, you also need to speak to various NPCs in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks.
After reporting back to Ryu Bugyo, you will be asked to travel to Middle La Noscea and speak to Sibly at (X:20.8, Y:18.0).
This will complete the first quest and unlock the second quest, “Unlike a Dragon”.
This quest involves returning to Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks and speaking to Ryu Bugyo again.
Furthermore, Ryu Bugyo will follow you along with the Ryunosuke minion.
You will then need to talk to more NPCs in the area and witness some cutscenes.
Finally, you will return to Ryu Metsuke and complete the quest.
